Hello Waterfront is a two-minute experimental 2D animation created for the Lujiazui Group × Swire Properties joint brand art exhibition, City Anchor 城市锚点, at the 80,000 Tons Silo Art Center 八万吨筒仓. Drawing inspiration from the Silo’s industrial heritage and Shanghai’s riverside evolution, the film follows a protagonist who steps onto the waterfront and enters a series of surreal encounters. Through this narrative journey, the animation traces the transformation of Pudong, from historic port and industrial hub to a symbol of contemporary urban imagination. Blending brand storytelling with site-specific cultural context, the work reflects the exhibition’s core themes of origin, growth, dialogue, and future vision, echoing the Silo as a spiritual anchor connecting past and future, individual and city, heritage and innovation.
